About Us

MISSION AND HISTORY

The Bedford County Pink Ribbon Fund was formed in 2017 by a group of local breast cancer survivors and supporters who wanted to support LOCAL families, individuals, organizations and institutions in the fight against breast cancer.

Led by our chair, Dr. Katherine Erlichman, a two-time breast cancer survivor, the committee formed a Fund through the Bedford County Endowments/Community Foundation for the Alleghenies, a 501-c3 charitable foundation committed to improving the quality of life in the Bedford County region.  Together, we are continuing our work on an annual walk and 5k run, as well as additional ways to support those dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis.

Some or our offerings include providing financial support, chemo comfort care kits, wig/beauty consultations, volunteer drivers to doctor appointments and new in 2020, a monthly Breast Cancer Support Group.

We hope you will join us in continuing our mission to end breast cancer... while supporting those facing their own fight.
